Carmen Arjona is a young flutist from Jaén (Spain), who was born in 2003. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Classical Flute Performance with Prof. Alice Morzenti at Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg, while she is receiving orchestral training being an academist of the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg. Thanks to this, she has also played as temporary assistant with other German orchestras like Münchener Kammerorchester or Nürnberger Symphoniker.

Carmen has distinguished herself in national and international competitions, most recently being awarded 3rd prize in GenRe Musikwettbewerb in Cologne (Germany), as well as 2nd prize in the II International Competition "Santa Pola-Casa Mediterráneo". She has also received other awards like 1st prize in the 5th Spanish Flute Association (Asociación de Flautistas de España, AFE) competition, 1st prize in the International competition Andalucía Flauta, 2nd prize in Baezafest competition and 3rd prize in the Andalusian phase of  Intercentros Melómano competition.

Additional milestones in her career include her participation as active student at the Barenboim-Said Academy (Sevilla), where she has received flute classes from André Cebrián, and chamber music lessons from renowned musicians like Pablo Barragán or Mor Biron. She has also been a member of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada Young Academy or the 3rd edition of Proyecto Talentos (Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid). Carmen is part of the flute list of the Young Spanish Orchestra (JONDE), and has performed as solo flute in young orchestras like Orquesta Joven de Córdoba or Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid.

She has also studied at masterclasses under the guidance of outstanding flutist such as Mario Caroli, Paolo Taballione, Felix Renggli, Kersten McCall, Julien Beaudiment, Yuki Koyama, Álvaro Octavio, Javier Castiblanque, Francisco López or Alberto Acuña, in addition to having completed her Bachelor degree in Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón with Antonio Nuez, Fernando Gómez and Guillermo González.
