Annika Boras is a German-Italian flutist. Born in Dachau in 2000, she left Germany at the age of two and grew up in Lecco, Italy, where she began learning the flute at the age of seven. From 2014 to 2019, she studied at the musical high school in her hometown and deepened her study by attending the educational project "Dentro il Suono" in Verona. In January 2020, she gained a place at the University of Music in Trossingen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany) and started her Bachelor degree in flute performance studying under Julie Stewart-Lafin until she transferred to the University of Music in Nürnberg (Bavaria, Germany) in October 2021 to study under Henrik Wiese and Timea Acsai.

She completed her Bachelor of Music in July 2025. Starting from October 2025, she will continue her studies at the Leopold Mozart College of Music in Augsburg under the guidance of Prof. Martin Belic.

Annika is a talented flutist who has gained recognition for her performances and achievements. As a soloist, she has performed twice with the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmoniker at the invitation of the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor. In summer 2021, she and Swiss harpist Anna Gander won the audition to perform the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto KV 299 with the Master Orchestra in Brescia, Italy.

She was an intern with the Augsburger Philharmoniker until December 2024 and is currently an intern with the Landestheater Coburg. She collaborates regularly with several orchestras in Germany, such as the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the Ensemble Moderne, the Deutsche Radio Kammerorchester and the Camerata Franconia. She is a member of the Junge Norddeutsche Philharmonie and the Junges Philharmonisches Orchester Niedersachsen.

Since October 2021, Annika has been continuously invited to perform at several festivals in different locations throughout Europe, including events organized by the Italian flute society "Falaut" and the "Arte Solidale Festival" on Lake Como. She has also recorded a CD for Falaut titled Giovani Promesse Falaut, showcasing her as a promising young flutist.

Annika plays a Haynes custom silver flute with platinum riser and is honoured to be a Haynes Young Artist.
