The Haynes Alto Flute

Go Deeper

Full, rich, dark and characterful. The Amadeus Alto invites a wide palette of articulation and tone color, equally at home in the orchestra, studio, jazz club, recital hall or flute choir.

The Amadeus Alto

Complex. Vibrant. Expressive.

The Haynes Sound with a deeper voice.

The Amadeus Alto has proven itself time and again to be a truly versatile instrument. Its flexibility of tone, color, dynamic, articulation, depth, supple top register and wonderfully chunky low notes have made it one of the most popular alto flutes on the market.

Pitched in G below middle C, the Amadeus Alto is available with either a silver-plated headjoint with a solid silver lip plate and riser on the AF570, or a solid silver headjoint on the AF670. Straight, curved, or both headjoints are available for both models. Both use a silver-plated body and mechanism with an ergonomic alto layout designed for real-world playing.

AF570-S

Studio. Screen. Stage.

Gareth McLearnon has used his Amadeus AF570-S for dozens of hours of recording across the Horizon series of game soundtracks, a franchise with more than 30 million copies sold, and throughout his work as Principal Flute of The Heritage Orchestra.

That includes sessions and concerts with Dua Lipa, Sir Elton John, RAYE, Jeff Goldblum, Rosalía and many more.

AF670-S

From audition to orchestra.

Alison Fierst, Second Flute of the New York Philharmonic, actually won her position playing an Amadeus AF670-S Alto Flute and continues to use the instrument in her work with the orchestra.

The instrument that went into the audition room with her is the instrument that now accompanies her onto the stage.
